In France and other francophone and European countries, it's common practice to attend Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and return home to indulge in a decadent dinner. This special meal might also be served on 12/31 as families and friends ring in the new year. Thanks to the exceptional training he received during culinary school at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY, Chef John Kregg knows the technique behind and how to execute exceptional classical French cuisine. He muses that during culinary school, “there was French food and everybody else.” Who better than Chef John to pull out all the stops while demonstrating how to prepare a fancy French feast perfect for le Réveillon? Join us for a mind-blowing, palate-pleasing demonstration class in which you'll learn to prepare and sample: Blinis with Smoked Salmon & Caviar, Lobster Thermidor, and Tournedos de Bœuf with a Port Wine Mushroom Sauce accompanied by Haricots Verts and Pommes de Terre à la Savoyarde. Indulge in a Cheese Course of French selections. Complete your feast with Red Wine Poached Pears & Vanilla Ice Cream.
