This elegant, French picnic "Le Diner en Blanc" will be held on
Sunday, July 21, 4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Valley Creek Park, Woodbury, MN
The Woodbury Heritage Society's French picnic goal is to raise funds to save the Miller Barn, one of Woodbury’s remaining historical buildings that sits on the city's Valley Creek park in the eastern part of the city.
The stunning tent, decorations, lights, tables and chairs, all in white, create a picturesque ambience for this exciting fund raising event hosted by the “Save the Miller Barn” committee.
All attendees are encouraged to dress all in white, including hats but wearing white is optional.
Your ticket price includes a picnic basket meal. In keeping with the French tradition, delectable passed apps such as vichyssoise shooters & raspberry habanero cups, a French picnic basket meal with your choice of either smoked ham ( with brie, apple and Dijon mustard) or roast provencal chicken (with tarragon vinaigrette, arrugula and pickled onions), along with several tasteful salads. Meals prepared by the famous Lake Elmo Inn. Also included is French white or red wine, desserts, french cheese platters and fresh fruit, The event will include a short humorous skit performed by the Merrill Theater, a captivating auction and other fun opportunities. Some of the Live auction items: delectable gourmet dinner for 4 prpepared at your home, radio control racing cars for 8 from DOLLARHOBBYZ, enjoyable day on potoon which includes picnic meal, Merrill Theatre group tickets and much more.
