How is this event different from other competitions?

The focus is to ride for fun and ride to learn. The event is in-hand and/or mounted. Participants choose from 3 levels of difficulty at each obstacle. Participant can change level obstacle to obstacle. Level 1 is novice, level 2 is intermediate, level 3 is advanced.

What does "in-hand" mean?

The handler guides the horse from the ground while the horse wears a halter and lead rope.

One day of Judged Obstacle Challenge of 8 in-hand (dismounted) obstacles and/or 8 under-saddle (mounted)obstacles with and ribbons.

Event lasts 8 hours 30 minutes

All riding disciplines, any size or breed equine welcome. Chose novice, intermediate, advanced level for each obstacle. Scoring weighed according to choices. Youth welcome. Positive relationship with equine rewarded. Food truck available. Cost=$40 for in-hand;$40 for under-saddle;$60 for combined. Negative Coggins on all equines within a year, Health Certificate for out-of-state. Helmets required. Leave dogs, firearms, home. Arrive 7:30 AM,event begins 9 AM; Lunch break 1-2 PM; Award ceremony 2 PM.
