L'autunno in tavola

Treat yourself to an authentic cooking workshop celebrating the fall season in our kitchen with Patrizia Greco.

L' Autunno welcomes us every year with its warm colors and its ingredients with intense flavors.
In Italy many seasonal ingredients are celebrated during Sagre Popolari: rural and popular festivals held in the open air with folk music, dancing and games.
Sagre popolari take place in villages and small towns, from North to South and the seasonal ingredients become the protagonists in the creation of traditional dishes, accompanied by delicious local wine.

Please join us in this fall gastronomic journey where the protagonist is la Zucca (pumpkin).
Students will learn how to make authentic and handmade Ravioli di zucca and a typical dessert from Campania region called Zeppole di San Giuseppe.

After cooking together, we will sit at an elegant table and enjoy our pranzo with paired wines.

Level: All levels welcome. This workshop will be conducted in Italian with very little English spoken.

L'autunno ci accoglie ogni anno con i suoi colori caldi e con i suoi prodotti dai sapori intensi.Ogni prodotto di stagione in Italia viene festeggiato con eventi o con le famose sagre, feste popolari che vantano un lunga tradizione.Dal nord al sud sono tanti i paesini o le città che attraverso questi eventi presentano la realizzazione di piatti tradizionali che, accompagnati da un buon vino, completano la degustazione.In questo viaggio gastronomico autunnale la protagonista sarà la zucca. Andremo a realizzare a mano la sfoglia di pasta all'uovo che verrà farcita dal ripieno di zucca e ricotta e continueremo con la preparazione delle zeppole di San Giuseppe, un dolce tipico campano di pasta bignè farcito con crema pasticciera, che trova sempre posto sulle tavole da pranzo della domenica.


Workshops are a great way to speak Italian outside the traditional classroom setting, while learning a fun new skill.
