One Two Three: A Novel
Everyone knows everyone in the tiny town of Bourne, but the Mitchell triplets are especially beloved. Mirabel is the smartest person anyone knows, and no one doubts it just because she can’t speak. Monday is the town’s purveyor of books now that the library’s closed—tell her the book you think you want, and she’ll pull the one you actually do from the microwave or her sock drawer. Mab’s job is hardest of all: get good grades, get into college, get out of Bourne.
It seems life might go on the same forever, until the first moving truck anyone’s seen in years pulls up--unloading new residents and old secrets. Soon, the Mitchell sisters are taking on a system stacked against them and uncovering mysteries buried longer than they’ve been alive.
Laurie Frankel is the New York Times bestselling, award-winning author of The Atlas of Love, Goodbye for Now, and the Reese’s Book Club x Hello Sunshine Book Pick This Is How It Always Is. Frankel lives in Seattle with her husband, daughter, and border collie. She makes good soup.
Moderator Nicola Griffith is the author of seven, going on nine novels—Spear and Menewood are due out next year. She has been a recipient of the Tiptree, Nebula, and World Fantasy awards, the Premio Italia, The Washington State Book Award (twice), and the Lambda Literary Award (six times)—most recently for her memoir, And Now We Are Going to Have a Party. She is the founder and co-host of #CripLit, holds a PhD from Anglia Ruskin University, and enjoys a ferocious bout of wheelchair boxing. She lives with her wife, the writer Kelley Eskridge, in Seattle, Washington.
