About this event
Back in October, we hosted an event with Zibby Owens at the Union St. restaurant, Thistle & Leek. It was sensational, literary... and delicious! The best part about it was connecting with readers and supporting multiple local businesses at once. And the food. And the books. Okay, it was ALL GREAT.
So please join us for another one-of-a-kind afternoon this Saturday from 1pm - 2:30 for a literary lunch at Thistle & Leek with Laura Zigman, whose latest novel, Small World, is gathering raves. Laura will be in conversation with Judy Bolton-Fasman, whose memoir Asylum is a Newtonville Books favorite.
Small World was also featured in the NYT Group Text column here.
AND Laura was on the cover of the Globe this week with this profile.
Shelby Van Pelt, author of Remarkably Bright Creatures, writes: “I absolutely loved Small World -- a wise, warm, and often hilarious exploration of sisterhood and community, set against a nuanced portrait of one family’s tragic past.”
Laura will be in conversation with Judy Bolton-Fasman, whose memoir Asylum is a Newtonville Books favorite.
A $55 ticket includes a copy of Small World, a light lunch, an a Newtonville Books goodie bag.
Books can be picked up at event. If you'd like to pick up your copy in advance, please note in comments.
If you can't make the event, you can pick up your signed copy of the book at the bookstore post-event.
