Description

Tualatin Valley Creates seeks experienced artists, culture workers, producers, makers, and creative entrepreneurs working in Washington County who want to take their practice to the next level.

Help us celebrate the launch of the Arts & Culture Leadership Incubator, an innovative new program for creatives from traditionally under-served communities in Washington County. Join us from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, June 13 at the Walters Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro.

Experience what the Incubator is all about at this kick-off event.

Incubator Faculty members Tracy Francis, Jessica Mehta, Raziah Roushan, and Toni Tabora-Roberts will host interactive stations where you can experience their work, explore your own creativity, and learn more about the program.

Enjoy a special performance from Incubator faculty member Tico González and local musicians Xavier Tavera & The Classic Band who will perform a cocktail of Cuban rhythms.

This is a free event, but RSVP is encouraged. Light refreshments served.

About the Incubator

Part leadership development, part business incubator, the Arts & Culture Leadership Incubator aims to challenge, inspire, empower, and motivate.

Led by a five member faculty team, a central goal of the program is to empower bold arts and culture leaders from traditionally underrepresented populations in Washington County who will help build a thriving, inclusive cultural and creative environment.

Incubator Faculty Members include Tracy Francis, Tico Gonzalez, Jessica Mehta, Raziah Roushan, and Toni Tabora-Roberts.

Applications for the Incubator will open June 14, 2019 on our website: tvcreates.org.

Select participants will be part of cohort of diverse arts, culture, and creative leaders who will create deep connections over the six month program through peer networking, mentorship, and learning.

The Incubator will be free to participants, and those who complete the program have an opportunity to earn a $500 stipend to help advance their work.

Incubator sessions will run from October 2019 to March 2020 from 10am to 3pm on the first Saturday of the month in Hillsboro.

Traditionally under-served populations in Washington County include people under 40, people of color, LGBTQ+, people experiencing income disparity, and people with disabilities, among others.
