On Wednesday 9 July 2025 from 17:30, join UAL FTTI (UAL Fashion, Textiles and Technology Institute) to the launch of the UAL XR Research Lab in Textiles and Dress, a specialist facility, awarded funding by the AHRC Creative Research Capability programme (CResCa) as part of the UKRI’s investment in World Class Laboratories.

The event will include contributions from Prof. Karen Stanton, Prof. Trevor Keeble, and Prof. Jane Harris, University of the Arts London, and Prof. Christopher Smith, Executive Chair of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

XR Lab Demo:

Venue: UAL’s East Bank Campus, at 105 Carpenters Road, E20 2AR.

The building is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Stratford railway station, which is on the Central Line, Elizabeth Line, Jubilee Line, London Overground, DLR, National Rail and TFL bus links.

Pay and display car parks are located at Westfield Stratford, Roundhouse Ln, London E15 2DU.

Access:

Access to the building is via the main entrance. Walking from Stratford Station, follow signs to the Olympic Park, over the bridge facing the Olympic Stadium, turn right at Sadler’s Wells East building, and along to the UAL East Bank building.

The building is wheelchair accessible via the main entrance, from Stratford Station.
