LATISM Annual National Conference – Houston – Oct. 25 to 27, 2012

Our centerpiece, fully bilingual event of the year - The largest conference of Latino Professionals engaged in social media

For its centerpiece event of the year, LATISM has chosen the City of  Houston: a vibrant city full of sabor Latino in every corner. The national event –to be held at the Hyatt, the most prestigious hotel in the heart of downtown –will consolidate LATISM’s mission and audience of health providers, government officials, educators, business community and thought leaders with four tracks focusing on empowering Latinos:

EDUCATION

Bringing the passionate educators, policy makers, industry leaders and tech innovators together to solve the education crisis among Latino(a)s using 21 century tools.

Target: Educators, Education Business Leaders, Policy Makers, Edu-Tech Entrepreneurs, Dreamers, School Administrators, Bilingual Experts, Government and Education Bloggers.

HEALTH

The Latino Health and innovation track will showcase best practices, highlight compelling issues and find avenues of collaboration through new media and technology.

Target: Health Care Professionals, Health Bloggers, Promotoras de Salud, Health Practitioners, Policy Makers, Government and Health-Tech Businesses.

TECHNOLOGY

Bringing the Latino Tech leaders, Tech Entrepreneurs, Angels and Venture Capitalists together to build a strong tech community and ignite innovation.

Target: Corporate IT Officers, Tech Entrepreneurs, Investors, Accelerators, Tech Start-Ups.

BUSINESS 

Lessons Learned from Multicultural Marketing, Communication and PR leaders who have pioneered and tested social media campaigns with a Hispanic target.

Target: Multicultural PR, Corporate Communications, Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, Industry Leaders, Marketing.

 

This year's tracks will bring us back to our core mission.  To empower Latino(a)s through the use of social media in the areas of Education, Health, Technology & Business.  These are the pillars of LATISM and we are honored to bring the top influencers and experts to one place.  Together we will find solutions, ignite new ideas and embrace our present to control our future.

Awareness about the value of broadband and technology innovation in the education, health and economic sectors.
