Description
Join the Latino Community Foundation (LCF), Target, and Latino Outdoors at the northwestern corner of San Francisco, at the spectaular Lands End. Lands End's trails winds their way around rocky cliffs above the ocean, moving through shady stands of cypress and eucalyptus and emerging on to spectacular views of the shore, headlands, and Golden Gate.
Let's come together to hike in the great outdoors, share stories, and break bread!
Meet at the Lands End Main Parking lot off Point Lobos Ave by 9am! We encourage carpooling due to limited parking - or consider taking public transit and spending the rest of the day exploring San Francisco or walking the Golden Gate Bridge!
After hitting the trails, we will gather together to build community and enjoy a free (healthy and delicious) lunch.
In partnership with Target, LCF is promoting healthy eating and active living in the lives of Latino youth and their families. LCF is partnering with the following Latino organizations to get it done:
Somos Mayfair, East San Jose, supports children, organizes families, and connects neighbors to uplift the dreams, power, and leadership of community and address systemic inequities.
Latino Outdoors, nationwide, is a network of leaders committed to engaging Latinos in the outdoors, connecting familias and youth with nature, and supporting our community of storytellers to explore and share their personal experiences.
National Compadres Network, nationwide, is at the forefront of culturally rooted solutions to youth disconnection to school and jobs, trauma, and community violence.
Abuelos, tios, vecinos, niños are all welcome! Let’s Do It!
