A Celebration of All Things Latina!

Online Ticket Sales end Saturday, August 24th at 12pm. After that, tickets will be available at the door.

LATINAFest is an outdoor festival which brings together thousands of women, eager to engage and network. Come and shop, get some wellness pampering, yoga, sip some wine at our cocktail garden, and listen to inspirational TALK:Latina speakers on how to find the most powerful you!

The 2019 LATINAFest is an all-inclusive outdoor event that welcomes Millennials, GenX, Gen Z, Baby Boomers and beyond. LATINAFest is a bilingual/bicultural event with attendees from all socio-economic groups.

LATINAFest 2019 SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES

● Our over 100 Latina entrepreneurial vendors will be offering everything from clothing, Jewelry, sweets, shoes, hats, cultural clothing and wares, handwriting analysis, financial information, treatments and massages.

● TALK:Latina by inspirational Latina leaders and spoken word poets. Scheduled to date are Chicana Playwright/Producer/Entrepreneur Josefina Lopez and radio host, DJ, author, journalist and L.A. Weekly editor Lina Lecaro.

● LA Times En Español/Hoy will host an Affirmation Tree -- affirm your goals and aspirations and if you so desire record your goals for next year. Selected recordings will be part of the LATINAFest Podcast! Then come next year and check on the manifestations that came true.

● LATINAFest Cocktail Garden for refreshing spirits prepared by Ilegal Mezcal, Cerveza Xteca and wine by Riboli Family of San Antonio Winery.

● Enjoy a live interactive painting demo on a 15 foot wall by East L.A. Artist/Entrepreneur SAND ONE, famous for her paintings of sassy women with big eyes and lashes.

● A live taping of TheTRENDTalk show with celebrity guests, one of the few Latinas in STEM, ANGELES ELENA VAN RYZIN, and actress SHAKIRA BARRERA, who plays Yolanda (“Yo-Yo”) in Netflix's GLOW.

● Goya Club Pop-up Workshop – Goya Foods presents a cooking demo by a celebrity Chef Cindy Rueda preparing easy summer recipes. Joining her will be actress/Goya Ambassador Shakira Barrera, who plays Yolanda (“Yo-Yo”) in Netflix's GLOW. Pull up a chair and watch, or join, as they create one of Goya’s delicious recipes right before your very eyes. If it's good...it's Goya!

● AARP brings the Soccer “Field” to LA Plaza and the kids (and adults too) try their luck and compete for prizes. For a slower pace, there’s Chair Yoga for all adults who want to “meditate out” and “work that body” at the same time.

● Book Readings - Promoting literacy at all ages LATINAFest has several authors in attendance. Authors of children’s books, self-help books, a physiological thrillers who will read from their books.

● Frida Fever- The fascination with Frida continues at this festival. Honoring one of the most prolific Latinas in history is Playwright/Actress Odalys Nanin, who will pay tribute to the iconic painter by channeling a scene from her hit published play, Frida: Stroke of Passion at the festival.

● Empowerment Fashion Parade closes off the day; women of all ages, shapes and forms will parade through the venue, up to the stage, modeling clothing, jewelry, hats and accessories from LATINAFest vendors.

LATINAFest MC’s:

Former host of Univision's "Lanzate" turned entrepreneur, FERNANDA KELLY, now owner of Shop her Closet KM will return as a LATINAFest MC along with DONAJI, Univision Radio DJ on KLVE 107.5 FM.

Other Activities: Zen Zone, Wellness demos, Make-up demos, Kid’s Corner, Cooking demos, Food tasting and so much more.
