London, United Kingdom
The Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley (LCSV) and our ELLA Program participants will be representing Silicon Valley in Sacramento and we want you to join us! We will be taking a bus of LCSV members and non-members from San Jose to Sacramento for the full conference.
Latina Action Day (LAD) is designed to facilitate dialogue between corporate and community Latina leaders and elected officials on public policy affecting Latinas in California. Through townhalls, public hearings, and workshops, HOPE presents up to date information, analysis, and access to decision makers on critical issues such as access to healthcare, higher education, and the California state budget
Now is the time to make a change in your community! With so many issues affecting our communities, we can no longer stand by idly and do nothing. It's time to stand up and make a change! Join us for Latina Action Day, a day where Latinas from all over California stand up to make a change! Help us legislate at the capitol building and get inspired by the countless other Latinas making a difference in California and beyond.
Some things to note:
- Cost includes transportation, snacks and handouts on the bus, conference fee, light breakfast, lunch, and happy hour appetizers
- We will be meeting in the Target Parking lot on Coleman Ave in San Jose to bus to Sacramento together
- Please wear comfortable shoes! Latina Action Day is a full day event with lots of walking, so wear comfortable shoes (or bring a back-up pair) and be ready to network with Latinas all over California!
- Since we are going as a group, Latina Coalition allows you to get tickets at a discounted affiliate rate - saving you money and travel!
