Brown Bag Lunch and Learn: Grantmakers Talk About the Future of Philanthropy in West Michigan

Representatives of different kinds of grantmakers in West Michigan will talk about their vision and hopes for the future of giving and nonprofit innovation in our area.

  • They will identify trends and developments in the local nonprofit community that they find particularly exciting or promising.
  • They will talk about where they see giving and grantmaking headed in the future in this region.
  • They will discuss some significant current and future community challenges and ways that grantmakers and other leaders can work together to address those challenges. 

Join us for this panel discussion moderated by Michael Moody, Frey Chair for Family Foundations and Philanthropy at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy, GVSU. While discussion and networking among audience and panelists are encouraged, participants are asked to please respect the strict non-solicitation policy of this event.

The Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Series is a partnership between the School of Public, Nonprofit and Health Administration and the Johnson Center for Philanthropy that serves as a resource to the nonprofit community and provides a learning opportunity for students, faculty, and practitioners. A variety of timely and relevant topics are presented throughout the academic year.

This event is free and open to the public. Please register in advance in order to obtain a parking pass. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch; coffee and tea will be provided.
