About this event

LATE JULY FESTIVAL FEATURES LOCAL MUSIC, FOOD, BREWERIES AND MORE

Local breweries are teaming up with Rural Roots to host a local beer, music and food festival 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday July 31. The event will be held on the lawn at the Latah County Fairgrounds at 1021 Harold Street, Moscow, ID.

“It’s a great reason to get back together, celebrate summer and raise some money for a local non-profit!” said Jim Boland, musician and local business owner of Hog Heaven Sausage Works.

Local breweries, Moscow Brewing Company, Hunga Dunga, Rants and Raves, Shattuck Brewing from Elk River, ID, and Hardware Brewing Company from Kendrick, ID will offer 4-ounce pours of hand-crafted seasonal releases.

Two local food vendors, Rants and Raves and Three Sisters Catering will also be featured with delicious dinner options including Hog Heaven Sausages.

Nonprofit Inland Oasis will be there with Love's Kombucha to provide us with non-alcoholic drinks. Learn about the new West Side Food Pantry in Moscow! The food pantry is located at 730 W Pullman Road in Moscow, Idaho.

Musical headliner, ColdRail Blues Band will groove from 8-10 p.m. with their electric blues style. The Kristie Project will play from 6-8 p.m. with Rebecca Lewis opening from 4-6 p.m.

"We've been really fortunate finding the right people who enjoy being together and creating fun music. Adding depth to our vocal line-up is Gina Taruscio. It’s great having another singer to co-front songs and provide strong back up harmonies,” said Michelle Karel-Ward, lead guitarist with ColdRail Blues Band.

The Kristie Project is a five piece cover band playing charts from Crosby Stills and Nash to Jocelyn Arndt.

Talented opener Rebecca Lewis captivates with a combination of acoustic country, pop, and classic rock covers and originals.

General entry is free. Tickets for the beer garden are $15 and include an event pint glass and four tastings. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite, and on site the night of the event! You can also find the festival on Facebook. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

The Moscow High School Environmental Club will paint faces for kids of all ages from 4-7pm to raise money for their projects.

Moscow Brewing Company is hosting lawn games including giant Jenga and corn hole.

Tye Dye Everything will sell t-shirts and other fun products. “We wanted to include a local business that fits in with the festival theme of celebrating fun and local!” said event committee member, Iris Mayes. Tye Dye Everything owner Arlene Falcon will also have information about Buy Local Moscow at the event.

Moscow Food Co-op will have an informational table.

Event sponsor, Rural Roots, Inc. is raising funds to continue their work in supporting the local food system and local farmers. Rural Roots is an Idaho-based nonprofit with the mission to support and enhance sustainable and organic agriculture and local food networks in Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
