What is Equine Assisted Growth and Learning?

It is an experiential learning model in which participtants freely interact and move with the horses in a closed arena guided by an EAGALA certified facilitator. Participants complete activities using props such as barrels, hoops, noodles and cones.

Why Horses?
Horses are especially attuned to our emotions and intent. Because of their sensitivity, humans can work with horses to solve problems in symbolic terms in the arena. Horses respond to humans with a high level of perception, helping humans to see things differently and learn about our ourselves.

Will I need to ride the horses?
No, all the work is done on the ground in the enclosed arena.

Do I need to have previous experience with horses?
No. For this kind of work with horses, you just need to “be yourself” and be open to learning about yourself and the horses. Your facilitators will answer any questions you may have about the horses.

For more information on Equine Assisted Growth and Learning, see the EAGALA website at http://www.eagala.com. Any questions, please contact Jill Wolski at 518-879-5856 or jill@greenstonexp.com
