Last Call for Laughs 2016 Comedy Show
It’s last call people!
...And what a year 2016 has been!
But before we close out our tabs on this mixed bag of a year, come join us at L’etage on Friday, December 30th for one last round of drinks and a few shots of standup - think of it as a relaxing warm-up before the New Years shenanigans get underway.
December 30th, 2016 (8:00-9:30 PM)
L'etage - 624 S 6th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
Introducing your comedians for the evening!
Starting with your host, Jess Carpenter -
Jess is a comedian, storyteller and motivational speaker. He talks about his mid-life crisis, life as a dyslexic, the youngest of 9, being an oddball in every respect, his family and situations he has ended up in. You can find Jess on stage frequently in the Tri-state area at various venues / fundraisers and festivals. Jess is traveling the country making name for himself but Philadelphia the comedy scene is his base.
Chris Walker was hardened by the streets of Perkasie, Pennsylvania (a small town in Bucks County). He is 23 years old and fresh out… of college. Chris is relatively employed by a private school for kids with autism (so mainly broke). He still lives with his parents, and he has an incredible knack for dating women who can’t stand him, which take his comedy to the next level. Chris has performed stand up all over the greater Philadelphia area and competed in the Philly’s funniest contest at Helium Comedy Club.
Rob Brooks is living proof that grey hair isn’t always a sign of wisdom, Rob Brooks’s comedy touches on the trials and tribulations of a 28-year-old just doing his best to pass for an adult. Originally hailing from Greenville North Carolina, he’s spent the last 10 years in Philadelphia, doing time as a college student, bouncer, bartender, and his most recent endeavor - a member of nine-to-five corporate America.
Nick Grinups is a 24 year old comedian from Washington DC but is now a resident of South Philadelphia. He talks about his ideas on life, family and his girlfriend. Nick has perform all over the Philadelphia area including Franky’s Funniest, Comedian Deconstruction and the 2016 Conshohocken Comedy Festival.
Marc Staudenmaier has been a featured comedian in and around the Philadelphia area for the past two years. He has been selected to the Charm City Comedy Festival and the New South Comedy Festival. He has opened for America's Got Talent's Julia Scotti and SIRIUS XM's Emma Willmann. He hopes to one day have more than three sentences in his bio.
...and your headliner for the night, Chris Stenta.
Chris is a comedy favorite in the Philadelphia area and has been making crowds laughs for over five years. You may have seen him at the Boston Comedy Festival in 2015 or Hosting “This Delinquent Life” at Laffcast.com/TDL every Tuesday at 9:30pm and at the Good Good Comedy Theatre first Wed of the month. I have never seen Chris leave a room for a people without making them cry, think and laugh.
