Event description

Description

Learn how to create stunning images through layers of ink and stencils, both positive and negative. We will start by creating simple cut out shapes on the Full Spectrum Laser Cutter. Students will ink these (using the Pochoir stencil method) and place them on the monotype plate in a myriad of ways, creating print after print! With no experience necessary, this is a great intro into other printmaking techniques. Whether you are an experienced printmaker looking to add a new tech tool to your arsenal, or a complete beginner, this workshop will leave you inspired to create something new!

All the materials are provided, including monotype plates, ink, paper for printing and stencils. If you have a vector shape image you want to try to use as a stencil, bring it on a thumb drive or laptop. Otherwise, we will just create simple shapes in CorelDraw.
