LASD Recruitment Unit presents Women Empowering Women, Are You Ready?

The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Recruitment Unit is hosting a Women’s Recruitment Symposium. Our theme this year is “Women Empowering Women, Are You Ready?”

The event will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the S.T.A.R.S Center - Gymnasium in Whittier.

This is a free event and open to all women who are interested in a career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

During this unique event, women will have the opportunity to interact with the women of the LASD and listen to various testimonials. There will be a speakers’ panel touching on various topics from the hiring process through promotion. There will also be an opportunity to speak one-on-one with guest speakers to learn more about the hiring process. The job opportunities are not only for sworn deputies, but will also include professional (non-sworn) positions.

Come out to hear how the women of the world’s largest Sheriff’s Department continue to break barriers and play a vital role in protecting our communities.

Registration is strongly recommended to guarantee a seat, but walk-ins will be welcome. This is a family-friendly event and is open to women, their spouses, and their children.
