Las Positas College's online literary arts festival, featuring speakers, panels, workshops, and more. Free to the public.

About this event

Please join us for the inaugural Las Positas College Literary Arts Festival, to be held online Saturday, May 8th, from 9:30 AM -8 PM. Click "Register" to see event details and to register for one or more events. Registration is required for attendance. You are welcome to register for as many events as you like, but please do not sign up for two or more events happening at the same time. Event times are listed on the registration page and in the schedule below. Tickets are limited and events are filling up, so don't wait!

The festival will feature speakers, panels, workshops, and more, and is free to the public. Events include workshops in screenwriting, speculative fiction, and novel writing; panels on poetry, memoir writing, and self-publishing; the LPC Poetry Slam; and the publication ceremony for Havik, Las Positas College's award-winning journal of arts & literature.

Special guests include keynote speaker Reyna Grande, Regina Louise, Paul Guay, Michelle Cruz Gonzales, Patty Enrado, Ariel Gore, Shawn Taylor, Mary-Rose Hayes, L.S. Johnson, the Tri-Valley Poets Laureate (Deborah Grossman, Jim Ott, Connie Post, Cynthia Patton, & Kevin Gunn), Bri & Tri of Speak Easy Poetry, Karin Spirn, and Stuart McElderry.
