Description
Larry Greene, recently retired executive director of the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD), will discuss the challenge of climate change and how California communities are developing adaption strategies to reduce the consequences of climate change.
Larry Greene retired as the Executive Director of the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District on August 31, 2017. Larry has a Bachelors Degree in Science Education from NC State University, and Masters Degrees in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology and Human Resources Education from Boston University. He is a Past-President of the California Air Pollution Control Officers Association (CAPCOA) and served as a permanent member on the CAPCOA Board of Directors. He is a Past President of the National Association of Clean Air Agencies (NACAA) and was Co-Chair of the Global Warming Committee. Larry served 23 years in the US Army where his specialty areas were Logistics Management and Petroleum Management/Operations and 22 years as Executive Director at Yolo-Solano AQMD and Sac Metro AQMD.
