Lantern Making Workshop
Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 5:00 PM - Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 6:00 AM (EST)
The Lantern Festival is part of Chinese New Year celebrations in some regions. It generally culminates on the 14th day of the year, which, thanks to the lunar calendar, is always a full moon. Resistor will be throwing a Lantern Festival party on February 24, which is the night before the first new moon after the lunar new year.
The evening before, and right after our second Make-A-Long, we'll have a workshop to build laterns for our fest!
This workshop is for adults and will show how to make simple LED blinky glowy circuits, and have plenty of crafty materials, glue guns, and simple LED tea lights. We'll also have paper and thin plastic for making enclosures. We will laser-cut paper cut enclosure models for those who bring files, and provide 3-5 of our own.
