Event description

Description

Join us for a free lunchtime workshop at the Winter Haven Public Library!

With summer rains right around the corner, it is important to consider how this affects our landscape and the environment around us. Rain is good for our growing landscapes, but when it leaves our property, that can be problem. Water gushing down our driveways and streets can carry pollutants down storm drains and ultimately end up in bodies of water. Join us for tips on how to keep rainwater in your landscape and not down the storm drain.

Lunch is NOT provided, but please feel free to bring your own lunch to eat while you listen.

Workshop is presented by the City of Winter Haven Utilities and the UF/IFAS Extension Polk County-Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program.
