Landscapes Without Thirst: Irrigation Improvements for Trees and Xeriscapes
Join us for a practical, field-focused educational session featuring two expert speakers:
- Heidi Kratsch will provide a talk titled, Irrigating Trees for Better Health, and will dive into effective tree irrigation using drip systems, with an emphasis on emitter spacing strategies that promote healthy root development and long-term tree stability across diverse site conditions. Heidi will speak from 4pm-5pm with a break afterwards for questions and food.
- Gregg Gehlert will provide a talk titled, Irrigation Plan Implementation, to help demystify irrigation specification plan reading—a vital skill for professionals installing systems for contractors or homeowners. Learn how to interpret irrigation plans and apply them accurately in the field, with a mock plan walkthrough and hands-on installation guidance. Gregg will speak from 5pm-6pm with a break afterwards for questions.
Whether you're in landscape installation, tree care, or irrigation contracting, this session will leave you with tools to work smarter and support healthier landscapes.
