The standard lease was introduced in 2018 by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and is required in most rental units in Guelph that are occupied by UofG students. Many landlords are asking how to make the most of the required standardized lease, how to address tobacco and cannabis through the lease, and what they should consider including under the additional terms that can be added in Section 15.
