Event description

Description

You can never get too much training on Fair Housing issues. In this final Landlord Education Conference of the year, we're going to discuss the details and updates on the most important Fair Housing issues of 2019:

1. Reasonable Accommodations for Disabled Tenants and Applicants - with a special emphasis on Assistance Animals. You won't just learn rules, but you'll learn principles that will help you make decisions on any situation you encounter, such as how to deal with letters from online sources or out-of-state "therapists" attempting to verify a tenant's need for an Assistance Animal.

2. HUD's Guidance on the Use of Criminal Records - I'll show you how to create a Resident Selection Policy that complies with HUD's guidelines on criminal records.

3. Avoiding Familial Status Discrimination - we'll discuss Occupancy Limits, Age-Related Rules, and Steering. Plenty of well-meaning landlords and property managers are committing acts of discrimination against families with children when they're simply trying to help keep children safe. Find out what to do instead.

Housing discrimination cases are expensive and nerve-wracking for landlords, even if you win. My Landlord Education Conference will give you the peace of mind that you know how to deal with Fair Housing issues in a quick and confident manner. Seating is limited to the first 20 people, so register today!
