Description
Assessments by legal, social, and ecological scholars of six regional scale water systems (including the Columbia River) all suggest a common historical pattern of crisis, adaptation, and transformation. Successful control of water led to a decline in ecological resilience, resulting in a series of ecological surprises. Come learn and discuss how the social-ecological system adapts and transforms and what is needed to confront the uncertainties of climate change!
