Join LAM and multiple Bay Area Latino organizations to celebrate six years of building a strong community of Latino professionals and lovers of Latin American culture! We are excited to introduce the "LAM Community Awards" where the most amazing individuals will get a chance to be recognized by all our members. LAM has evolved to be a community of 5,000 Latino influencers.  Our members are highly motivated emerging Latinos and Latin culture enthusiasts and have proven to be the  new generation of movers and shakers. To celebrate our members' accomplishments and their astonishing talents, we are starting a call for nominationsfor the following categories:

  • LAM Member of the Year
  • The Mover-and-Shaker (representing Biz Excellence)
  • The Activist (representing community involvement)
  • The Corporate Advocate (representing excellence in the corporate world)
  • The Community Organization of the Year (for non-profits)

Highlights of the event include:

  • Networking reception co-hosted by over 12 Latino organizations with complimentary appetizers and live performance with Latin Grammy Nominee Eddy Navia and his son Gabriel Navia
  • Introducing LAM Community Awards
  • Key Note speaker, Rick Najera (http://ricknajera.com/), award-winning actor-writer-director-producer with credits in film, television, theatre and Broadway.
  • Silent auction throughout the night. Items being auctioned include 2 tickets to Mexico + 3 night stay All-Inclusive stay at Hilton Puerto Vallarta, a Verizon tablet, and other great items. 100% proceeds will go to Latino youth programs in the Bay Area via Latino Community Foundation.

San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association is a nonprofit resource for and advocates on the behalf of the Latino legal community in the Bay Area. With multiple active committees and a number of annual events, SFLRLA provides attorneys with a number of opportunities to network, engage in advocacy, and give back to their communities. SHPE The SF Bay Area SHPE chapter was founded in 1983. The national organization, SHPE was originally founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1974 by a group of engineers employed by the city of Los Angeles. Their objective was to form a national organization of professional engineers to serve as role models in the Hispanic community. SF Bay Area SHPE re-enforces its reputation as a vital Hispanic organization by its social responsibility to be involved in education, business, and community outreach.
