WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

The Lake Worth Lagoon Living Shorelines Workshop is a collaborative effort to offer shoreline protection alternatives to municipalities and waterfront landowners that enhance the resources and water quality of their backyard, the Lake Worth Lagoon. The benefits of Living Shorelines include protection and restoration of critical estuarine habitats; water quality improvement through sediment trapping and nutrient reduction; and wave attenuation.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Municipal Representatives, Coastal Land Managers, Environmental Scientists, Developers, Contractors, Consultants, Private Landowners, Environmental Regulators, Local Planning & Permitting Staff (Please note: Seating is limited and priority will be given to the targeted audience.)

LOCATION DIRECTIONS

FROM I-95: Take Belvedere Road exit off I-95. Go west to Military Trail. Turn left (south) into the far right lane. Drive .4 mile to Golf Street. (Golf Street is between Salvation Army and the Drivers License Office.) Turn right (west) on Golf Street. Go to the end of the street and turn left into the complex.

FROM TURNPIKE: Take the Okeechobee Road exit off the Turnpike. Go east to Military Trail. Turn right (south) on Military Trail. Drive south to Golf Street. (Golf Street is .4 mile south of Belvedere Road, between Salvation Army and the Drivers License Office.) Turn right (west) on Golf Street. Go to the end of the street and turn left into the complex.
