Please join Lake Park for our first ever Stomp Out Stigma 2 Mile Walk/Run & Resource Fair

When and where is this event?
Stomp Out Stigma will take place on Saturday, May 4th. The race will start promptly at 9:05 a.m. Following the event, there will be a Resource Fair, food, and music! The walk/run will begin at the Lake Park Football Stadium/Track located at West Campus (500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Roselle)


What is included in registration?
Registration ($15) will allow the individual to participate in the walk/run. Please remember to add the Stomp Out Stigma T-Shirt at checkout (+$10), where you can specify your size. T-shirts will be distributed before the event. Please be sure to provide a valid email during registration, as you will receive communication about packet pick-up via email.


How far is the route?
The route will be 2 miles long. The exact route will be released closer to the event. You are welcome to walk or run this event.


Can I register the day of the run?
Yes. Same Day Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4 at the LPHS West Campus Track. There will be limited availability of t-shirts for individuals who register day of.


When does online registration close?
Online registration will close at noon on Friday, April 19th.


What does Stomp Out Stigma mean?
Stomp Out Stigma is about eliminating the stigma of mental health. Did you know 1 in 5 Americans struggle with mental health? The likelihood that we know someone struggling with mental health is great, but we may not know because often times people struggle in silence. A major barrier for someone seeking support is the stigma that our society has placed on mental illness. Our goal is to STOMP OUT STIGMA.


Who will benefit from this fundraiser?
One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the local chapter of the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). The mission of NAMI DuPage is to provide support, advocacy, and education in order to improve the quality of life for individuals with mental illness and their families.


I can’t make it to the event, but can I still donate?
Yes. Donations are appreciated can be selected at check-out.
