LagunCara Business Network First Friday Lunch #6. Apr 7th
Event Information
Description
Welcome to the 6th of our LagunCara Business Lunches where we bring together local and international professionals, to meet each other and explore win-win synergies. The objective of these sessions is to help the members get things done through trust-based relationships.
Keynote speech this month (10-15 min): “The growing gap between technology and society and the unseen impact on privacy"
Speaker: Darragh Kelly, Entrepreneur and Lecturer on data security and privacy
Timing: We will meet at 14:25 and start eating at 14:45. The speech and introductions can be done while we are having starters as we did in the event in Donosti, if we can start a bit earlier even better.
Format change: We plan to have starters standing to help people move around the room better. This will help networking.
Menu: Closed executive lunch with Crianza wine (22 euro). We will have our own dining room which facilitate speeches and introductions.
To keep up to date on any and all changes to do with this and future events please join the Linkedin group.
Thanks to Jesús Santos for helping to organize the local this month!
See you the 7th!
FAQs
Do I have to speak English?
No. English is the default language but feel free to speak in whatever language you feel most comfortable. There are also non-locals who like to practice their Basque!
Do I have to introduce myself?
Yes, but you can do this in the language you feel most comfortable in. After the Keynote speech, everybody should give a brief, 30-second introduction, just explaining who you are, why you are at the event and anything you feel relevant. If you have any proposals to make or anything tangible you would like to share this is a great time to do it as you have everyone’s attention but be as brief as possible,
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
By car: We will update this as soon as we confirm the restaurant. Those coming from Donosti please try to organize amongst yourselves to reduce costs and share cars. If you do not have people's phone numbers please ask Darragh.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No,
Can I invite other people
Yes, please do but remember that trust is a key factor so invite people that you genuinely trust.
Dress code?
Whatever you are comfortable with, most come business casual.
