Event description

Description

On the heels of Diwali, LadyDrinks teams up with The Culture Tree to host this educational Mother-Daughter event at the Rubin Museum.

It is a 1pm private tour of the Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibit “India in Full-Frame.” We are capping this at 15 adults and children only.

Mothers and daughters (10 years old and up) are invited to join us for an engaging tour of this photojournalist’s 70 photographs of post-Partition India, as originally published in LIFE Magazine. A docent will walk us through photographs of Gandhi's last days, images of political leaders, refugees from India’s partition from Pakistan and everyday people.

Afterwards, we will have reserved seats in the Rubin Cafe, so everyone can meet one another and connect.

This event made possible through the generous sponsorship of Anu Seghal, The Culture Tree, Trisha Sakhuja, LadyDrinks Board Member and Brown Girl Magazine Editor in Chief, Kavita Mehra, LadyDrinks Board Member and Exec Dir of Sakhi for South Asian Women, and Ami Patel
