Event description

Description

Introducing a new lunch series presented by The Hive and Holly's Eventful Dining: Lady Bosses of Knoxville! Join us every other month for lunch and a roundtable discussion with women leading the charge in all things Knoxville: from the creative sphere and the professional world, to building your brand, local activism, and more. Celebrate the women who are enriching Knoxville and build your community of fellow lady bosses in return!

For the June roundtable, we'll be highlighting 4 women in the creative field: Carrie Jo Pinckard of Texture Photo, musician Daje Morris, 2D artist Paris Woodhull, and artist / printer Sarah Shebaro. Lunch will be a catered sandwich spread from fellow lady boss Holly's Eventful Dining (tea and water included).

A little bit about our creatives:

Carrie Jo Pinckard of Texture Photo aims to capture the distinct and interwoven way you approach the world. Since first entering the wedding photography world in 2006, Carrie Jo has shot weddings all over the country, from her native Georgia to Colorado and beyond. In her work, she chooses timeless over trendy any day.

Daje Morris is a wandering poet, and a truth-telling, story-seeking singer-songwriter. She is often found toeing the lines between introversion, extroversion, and shamelessness. She is deeply devoted to exposing beauty in all of its messy and inarticulate forms.

Paris Woodhull creates quirky paper goods and original art for the celebrity-obsessed, Knoxville-lover and map-enthusiasts. She is a Knoxville native and currently a senior pursuing a BFA in 2D arts at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She loves bold color, pattern, pop culture, portraiture, fashion, and most importantly the wonderful city she lives in!

Sarah Shebaro is an artist, instructor and designer living in Knoxville, TN. She received her BFA at the University of Iowa. In the years that followed she headed east to Pennsylvania for a non-degree assistantship position at Bucknell University then south to receive an MFA in printmaking at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Post 2009 economic crash she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she accepted a position at the Pratt Institute as the shop technician and assistant professor. In the four a half years there, she rehabilitated the print studios, paying extra special attention to the letterpress facilities. Late 2015 she relocated back to Knoxville, TN teaming up to open Striped Light, letterpress studio and record label.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
