Event description

Description

Jonathan Goldsmith is well known locally as an architect of many homes and commercial buildings in Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga counties which were built between 1819 and 1843. There is more to this man than just his elegant Greek Revival architecture for which he is known, however. A peer of Sam Houston, famed Texas Revolution leader, Texas was eager to have him. He chose, instead, to settle and work in Lake County. Learn the story of Mr. Goldsmilth including his adventures, family and the architectural gems he left behind.

Love to learn? Love to eat? Combine both these treats into one with LADIES WHO LUNCH, a delicious series from Lake County Historical Society. Each of the events includes a light meal and a lecture on a historic topic.

Be advised that if an event doesn't reach minimum attendance, it may be cancelled and reservations moved.
