Bestselling historical fiction author, Natasha Lester, will discuss her new novel The Paris Seamstress. Bring along your girlfriends and enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles from 6.30pm. This event is suitable for ages 18 and over.

Crossing generations, society’s boundaries and international turmoil, The Paris Seamstress is the beguiling, transporting story of the special relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter as they attempt to heal the heartache of the past.

Free event for adults only (strictly 18+), bookings are essential as places are limited. Please arrive from 6.30pm; doors will be locked at 6.45pm and latecomers will be refused entry.

Natasha Lester worked as a marketing executive for L’Oreal, managing the Maybelline brand, before returning to university to study creative writing. She completed a Master of Creative Arts at Curtin University as well as her first novel, What is Left Over, After, which won the TAG Hungerford Award for Fiction. Her second novel, If I Should Lose You was published in 2012 and her first historical novel, the bestselling A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald, was published in 2016 and Her Mother’s Secret in 2017, with her latest book The Paris Seamstress released in March 2018. Yes, copies of Natasha's book will be available for sale and there will be an opportunity to have it signed.

Will I be able to borrow or return library items before/after the event?
No, this is an after-hours event so you will only be able to borrow or return library items during normal library opening hours.

Do I need to print off my ticket and bring it with me to the event?
No, as long as you have pre-booked and confirmed your attendance with the library you do not need to print off your ticket. Please arrive from 6.30pm; doors will be locked at 6.45pm and latecomers will be refused entry.
