Please join us as we gather on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the best happy hours in LA for LA$5 drinks and LA$5 appetizers. FREE to ATTEND -- just register so we can make you a nametag. Or be a member of the Host Committee - Host Committee members at LA$50 get to showcase their brand and be listed in the invitation (and help us cover the event costs and the first round of drinks and apps)

This is a fun, free “buy a drink and get to know” gathering 5 to 7 after work. Arrive by 6 PM and your Host Committee will buy the first round!

Margaret Karren is a partner at Green Hasson Janks in the Nonprofit Practice. She is passionate about serving the nonprofit community through her work at the firm and her outside involvement in the community. She provides audit, accounting and consulting services to nonprofit clients. Margaret’s outside community involvement includes serving on the board and finance committee of California Hospital Medical Center Foundation. She is a former board member and chairman for Boys Town of California. She is also a board member and chair of the Community Service Committee of LA5 Rotary. Margaret is a member of the California Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Government Audit Quality Center (GAQC). She attended Brigham Young University and graduated with honors, from California State University-Northridge, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting Theory. She also attended the Golden Gate University Master of Taxation Program. Margaret co-chairs the firm’s quarterly nonprofit workshops and prepares the annual benchmarking survey. Margaret is a frequent guest lecturer and co-hosted the 2009 California Society of CPAs’ Not-for-Profit Organizations conference. Margaret joined the firm in 1992; prior experience includes 10 years of private industry experience as a controller. Margaret’s personal interests include travel, hiking and volunteer work.

Patrick McClenahan is the President and CEO of Goodwill Southern California (GSC). Patrick has overall responsibility for GSC as it prepares and places thousands of individuals into sustainable employment through programs and services throughout Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. As one of the leading non-profit brands in the world, and the largest non-profit in Southern California, GSC has been transforming lives through the power of work for over 100 years. Goodwill Southern California supports its mission with proceeds generated from 84 retail stores and over 46 attended donation centers, as well as from charitable donations and grants from the public and private sectors.

Prior to coming to Goodwill, Patrick served as President and CEO of the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, the largest sports and humanitarian event in the world. The event engaged all of Southern California as 6,500 athletes from 164 countries inspired acceptance and inclusion through their courage, determination and joy.

Prior to the World Games, Patrick was a longtime sports and media executive and served in leadership roles for Prime Ticket, Fox Sports, CBS2 and KCAL9. He is also active in providing leadership in the community having served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Southern California and in leadership roles on the boards of the Los Angeles Sports Council and the LA 84 Foundation.
