Description

Join us for the 10th Annual Dia de los Muertos celebration

Saturday, October 20th

La Vista Historical Foundation invites you to an authentic and traditional Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead celebration. No need to travel deep into the heart of Mexico, we bring it to you. This annual tradition brings families together in a cultural celebration of family and honoring of the dead. The day offers an opportunity to admire altar tributes built with love to honor individual family members. Join the entire celebration as it transitions into the evening hours and takes on a different life.

Experience an authentic and traditional Dia de los Muertos celebration inside a cemetery. There will be several artisan exhibits representing various cultures. Dance and rituals dating back 3,000 years ago Day of the Dead invocation from Danza Mexi'cayotl followed by a procession of Folk dancers. The celebration will award $500 to the most traditional catrina and $1000, $500, and $250 prizes for the most elaborate altars built by visiting families to honor their deceased loved ones.
