Description

FREE LECTURE SERIES for those affected by the La Tuna Fire and those who serve that community.

Tipping the Scales Invasive Species in Fire Preparation and Recovery, with Dr. Sabrina Drill

This presentation discusses exotic (non-native) plants, insect pests, and other invasive species and how they affect pre- and post-fire situations – and how fire preparation, suppression, and recovery can help or hinder the spread of invasives.

Also included in this session: a call for volunteers to help with Theodore Payne Foundation post-fire regeneration projects.

Sabrina Drill, PhD., is UC Cooperative Extension’s Natural Resources Advisor for Los Angeles and Ventura counties and Associate Director of the California Naturalist Program.
