Los Angeles Times Dinner Series presented by City National Bank is a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Guests will enjoy exclusive menus from Southern California's most notable restaurants while joining virtual live conversations between L.A.’s premier chefs, celebrities and the L.A. Times editorial team from the comfort of home.
On January 16, dine with the stars for a good cause! Join some of television’s biggest talent for a virtual dinner party hosted by L.A. Times television critic Lorraine Ali in support of Project Angel Food. Enjoy an exclusive 3-course Italian takeout menu created by chef Steve Samson of Rossoblu while tuning in to interviews with chef Samson, and actors Henry Winkler, J.B. Smoove, Yvette Nicole Brown, Mark Duplass and Katie Aselton.
Attending this event helps the LA Times Foundation Fund in granting $10,000 to Project Angel Food as part of our ongoing Dinner Series partnership.
Rossoblu Italian dinner menu by Chef Steve Samson
- Course 1: Lasagna // celery root, taleggio, pioppini mushrooms, black truffle
- Course 2: Grilled Dry-Aged Flannery Holstein Beef Loin, Black Kale, Red Wine Jus, Shaved Parmigiano Reggiano, Chestnut Gremolata
- Course 3: Citrus Maritozzo // lemon curd, toasted meringue
Some food preparation will be required at home.
Tickets for each dinner event are $95 per person and include the three-course meal with a cocktail pairing provided by Beam Suntory and a sweet snack from Sumo Citrus.
Two ticket minimum per household.
Meal pick up information:
Pick up location: Rossoblu Restaurant: CITY MARKET SOUTH, 1124 San Julian St, Los Angeles, CA 90015
Pick up details: Meal pickup time will be between 1 PM - 4 PM on Saturday, January 16. To ensure public safety and social distancing.
Curbside Pick up instructions:
Please pick up for Rossoblu on San Jullian between 11th and 12th Streets, almost in the exact center of the block. When you arrive, you'll see a designated area to wait on San Julian on the East side of the street. When you pull up please call the restaurant at (213) 749-1099. When they know you have arrived, they will bring the meal kit out to you for a safe contactless, curbside pickup.
Guests will re-heat and plate the prepared meal at home while tuning in to the event at 6:30 PM.
All guests must be 21+. Guests must show I.D. when picking up dinner package at the restaurant. Due to the nature of this event, we are unable to issue refunds. All sales are final.
