What is the dress code?

We'd like you to be comfortable but professional, so please wear business casual, but no jeans. Flats and closed-toe shoes are required for the plant tour. You may want to bring a change of clothes for some beach time after the event! Dockweiler Beach is just across the street, and the venue is very close to dining & nightlife in both El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, and Marina del Rey.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We suggest bringing something to take notes. We will not be collecting resumes at the event, but by request we will do our best to review your resume with you at the workshop, if time permits. In the spirit of sustainability, we also suggest bringing a reusable beverage container.

I've already graduated. Can I still attend?

This event is tailored to current students in the local area. We would be happy to add you to the wait list and notify you one week prior to the event if we can accommodate you.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

There is no need to bring your printed ticket, but we do need to see a current valid school ID card at the event registration.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No, registration is non-transferable. We have very limited seating, so please let us know if you're unable to make it so we can invite someone from the waitlist. This event is for current college students and grad students only. Duplicate registrations will be deleted.

Will the event be recorded?

Pieces of the event will be captured on video and in photographs to be used in LA Sanitation's promotional materials. A full release will be posted at registration. Registering for this event includes your acceptance of our photo/video release.

What if I can't make it to the event?

Please let us know as soon as possible. We do have a wait list of more than a dozen people who would like to attend if others cancel.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please email our Project Green Leadership (PGL) Coordinator, Diandra Ortiz, at with any questions.
