I'm excited to announce the launching of the 6 Week LA River 5k Fun Run Training Program in partnership with A Runner's Circle, Friends of the LA River, and Manduka Yoga Mats.
Sticking to your New Year's Resolutions? Need an excuse to train? Want to support the Friends of LA River and your local community? Or just want to run around with your friends and family? Then the LA River 5k Fun Run Training Progam is perfect for you! No matter your age or level, in just 8 weeks you'll train for and be ready to run the LA River 5k Fun Run while supporting a great cause. 10% of proceeds will go to the Friends of LA River!
Coach Erika Hall of Yoga 4 Runners and A Runner's Circle will lead the 6 week training program every Sunday morning from 8-9:15am at A Runner's Circle where we'll train on the actual race day course. Training begins on March 24 and continues to Race Day May 5th (Cinco De Mayo). There will be pacers for all groups from running, jogging, run/walk, and walking to encourage everyone of all ages and levels. Sessions start at 8am with a warm up, the week's training run, and finish with cool down stretches and yoga.
When you train with Yoga 4 Runners you will:
- Learn the basics of Good Running Form
- Get a 6-Week 5k Training Program
- Train with a pacer for the LA River Fun Run.
- Learn how and integrate yoga stretches into your training to improve your running form, decrease the risk of injury and recovery time, and increase your overall well-being
- Be an integral part of a supportive and encouraging community
- When: Starts Sunday March 24th - April 28th @ 8-9:15am
- Where: A Runner's Circle 3216 Los Feliz Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90039
- $50 for training plan for adults 16+
- $25 for kids 10-15
- Free kids under 10
- $100 for family of 3+
- $10 drop in.
- The cost training DOES NOT include the cost of race registration.
- Street parking available
Please bring a bottle of water and yoga mat with you. If you don't have a yoga mat, please bring a large beach towel.
Please leave pets at home. Routes may not be stroller friendly.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There are no idea or age limit requirements to participate in this event. All children must be attended by their parents or guardian.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
A Runner's Circle is located just off the 5 Hwy. There is plenty of street parking.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring a bottle of water and a yoga mat. If you don't have a yoga mat, bring a large beach towel. We will be sitting on the ground to stretch and it may be wet. We love dogs, but please leave yours at home.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Unfortuntately, it is not transferrable.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, all you have to do is log into your account to update your info.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please bring your printed ticket or your mobile phone with confirmation on the first day.
What is the refund policy?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds.

She is an active member of the local health and fitness community where she leads A Runner's Circle's Thursday Night Fun Runs, teaches Yoga 4 Runners and Mat Pilates, and works privately with clients to transform their training using running, yoga, and mat pilates. During the day you can find her at A Runner's Circle helping people run easier.
