Description

This is a 6-hour adventure in the Disneyland Resort organized by Troop 000 LA Lone Scouts where we will be using the Disney Youth Education Series Class: DESIGN A DISNEY STORY to fulfill many of the requirements for both the ART and the ANIMATION Merit Badges...

About "Design-A-Disney-Story" Class: students will learn about the complex components that work together to bring favorite Disney characters and stories to life on the big screen. We will be learning about Walt Disney's role in the history and processes used to create early animated features as well as innovative animation techniques used to bring visions of modern storytellers to life. We will explore our own storytelling skills by planning and designing a storyboard and creating a kineograph.


FOR WHOM:

Open to All Boys and Girls at least 11 years old by September 1, 2018 - whether Scout or not.

If a Scout (11-17 years old), please wear Class A uniform and bring (a) water bottle, (b) snack, (c) pencil/pen - drawing and writing, (d) two signed blue cards for Art and for Animation, and (e) sketchbook or worksheets for both Art and Animation.

NOTES - PLEASE READ:

1) This is a DROP-OFF CLASS FOR ALL STUDENTS - whether scout or non-scout. Any parent/guardian who wishes to accompany their student throughout the program will need to purchase a spot on the roster. Everyone pays the same price - student or adult - there is no discount for anyone including and not limited to Disney employees, Disney annual pass holders, active/retired military, etc.

2) The price includes (a) all-day admission with in/out privileges to the "classroom“ (Disney California Adventure Park) for the Disney YES class. Everyone pays the same price - there is no discount for Disney Annual Passholders, Disney Employees, Active/Retired Military, etc, (b) one event t-shirt, and (c) art intensive materials.

3) Parking and travel arrangements from wherever you are and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim is your responsibility.

4) This particular Disney YES ticket can be upgraded to an annual pass within 30-days of our class date if you are interested.

5) Siblings and adults who have not paid for a spot on the class roster AND do not have valid annual passes in their name, can purchase admission tickets directly at the Disney Resort ticket booth to reunite with their students/scouts after the program ends to enjoy the park together. The reunion pick-up point will be announced on the morning drop-off/Check-in.

6) Scout/Student Roster plus T-shirt Order Form link will be available via email directly on May 8, June 8, and July 30. Please type in your email address accurately In your Eventbrite registration.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

  • YES - all students must be 11-years-old by September 1, 2018.

What can I bring into the event?

  • Scouts must come in Class A uniform with signed blue cards, pencil/pen (writing and drawing), water bottle, snack, and either a sketchbook or both Merit Badge worksheets.

  • Non-Scouts must come in long shorts/pants with closed toed and closed heeled shoes, water bottle, sketchbook and pencil/pen (writing & drawing).

What's the refund policy?

  • There is no refund. Your ticket is transferable.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

  • YES - to exchange for your Disney YES ticket and event shirt.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

  • YES - but you may not have an event shirt that fits you UNLESS you responded to the Student Roster Email with the T-shirt Order link sent via email directly to you on May 8, June 8 and/or July 30.
