La Casa Rosada Art Auction + Fundraiser

Multimedia artist, Jehdy Vargas, had the opportunity to volunteer as an Art teacher at La Casa Rosada, an orphanage in East Santo Domingo run by nuns, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, for children orphaned by the scourge of AIDS and who are HIV positive. They rely on donations for food, medicine & upkeep of the orphanage. The schooling & medical expenses of the children is based solely on donations from supports, but they are lacking funds. This experience left a huge impact and has motivated Jehdy, with the help of creative partners Melissa Gordillo & Natalie Reynoso, of Get Real Soon, to join forces in creating this very special fundraising event.

We have partnered with fellow artist & colleges to donate work for our art fundraiser for the children. All Print/Art purchases are a donation towards the orphanage. Artists have the option of donating 50% to La Casa Rosada & 50% to the artist, or are welcomed to give 100% of their art sale to the cause. 100% of the proceeds from our Eventbrite ticket sales will be donated to will go towards health care, housing, education and job training for the orphans afflicted with HIV.
