Sunday Supper

Pig Roast at KYV Farm

May 19, 2013

Join Slow Food First Coast and our hosts, the Arroyo Family of KYV Farm, as we dine on swine and feast on fresh farm products from our region’s only certified organic farm, set near the Old Bartram Trail along the banks of the St. Johns River.

This casual Sunday Supper will offer visitors a look at the farm’s exceptional produce and poultry operations, including their popular Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project, which connects consumers with their organic products through a weekly subscription basis.  As a bonus, our friends from the St. Augustine Distillery will be on site to talk about their partnership with KYV Farm to produce heirloom sugarcane for their locally handcrafted rum.

And did we mention the pig roast?  We’ll be roasting a whole hog to crispy porcine perfection!  Plus, the fine folks from Gas Restaurant will be catering all the fixins, including black beans and rice, seasonal KYV vegetables, and homemade dessert.  The event is BYOB, so bring your favorite beverage to share with friends, old and new!  This event is rain or shine.

KYV Farm is located at 7000 County Road 16A, St. Augustine, FL.  For more information about the farm, visit

Tickets cost $25 for SFFC members and $30 for non-members and proceeds benefit SFFC’s programs.  Seating is very limited.  Reserve your seat at the table now!
