Description

This year marks the 51st anniversary of Kwanzaa nationally and the 6th anniversary celebrating Kwanzaa in Brevard County. The Nguzu Saba Collective, Inc. (NSC), parent organization of the Kwanzaa events, invites Brevard residents to enjoy Kwanzaa Celebration 2017. The NSC will kick off the celebrations with the first Kwanzaa Principle, Umoja which means (Unity) in Swahili, on Tuesday, December 26 and on Sunday, December 31, the Kwanzaa principle, Kuumba (Creativity) will be well represented with the creativity of our youth. Both events are free and opened to the public. On December 26, the first night of Kwanzaa Celebration 2017 will take place at JAMROCK Bar & Grill, located at 1901 Palm Bay Road in Palm Bay. The program, 6pm-9pm will include African dancers, drummers, poets, and singers. On Sunday, December 31, 2017, the sixth night of Kwanzaa will start at 6pm at the Melbourne/Palm Bay Delta Life Development Center located at 805 East Hopkins Street, Melbourne, FL 32901. Our very talented youth will take over the program. More information about Kwanzaa Celebration 2017 may be obtained at NSC 's web site: www.nguzosabacommittee.weebly.com.
