The City of Philadelphia is partnering with the Kwanzaa Cooperative to celebrate Kwanzaa on Boathouse Row. Join Mayor Kenney, Parks & Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell, Maisha Sullivan Ongoza from the Kwanzaa Cooperative, and other invited guests for a special program. The festive program will feature speakers and entertainment, culminating in the illumination of the lights on Boathouse Row at 6:00 pm.

Procession: 5:00pm
*Will begin at Paine’s Park (MLK Drive & Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130) to Fairmount Fish Ladder

Program: 5:30pm
*At Fairmount Fish Ladder

Lighting: 6:00pm

Note: MLK Drive will be shut down to traffic between Eakins Oval and Sweet Briar Drive beginning at 5:00pm so that attendees can walk to the gathering spot across from Boathouse Row. Attendees with mobility issues can drive and park closer to the event by accessing MLK Drive at the outbound entrance off of Eakins Oval.
