Come along and experience a heart-centred cooking class & talk lead by Abhay and Jayanti from Krishna Culture Educational Foundation.
About this event
Abhay and Jayanti from Krishna Culture Educational Foundation are on currently touring NZ, and we are lucky to have them in our beautiful Horowhenua region for 7 days of community cooking classes, philosophy talks and self-sufficiency workshops.
Wednesday cooking class venue is held at GypsyMcGee - 'boutique & off-grid accommodation' nestled in a tranquil location at the base of the Taraua's. This is a truly unique location that will rejuvinate your soul. There is accommodation available to hire before and after this event www.gypsymcgee.com
Cooking class is from 10am to 1.30pm
Vedic Philosphy Talk is 2pm to 3.30pm
Menu is (Menu Option Two):
1/ Rice and lentil stew (Kitchari)
2/ Learn to make paneer (fresh cheese)
3/ Paneer and vegetable fritters (Pakoras)
4/ Tomato chutney
5/ Almond toffee fudge
There is no cost for this course however we are asking our community to pull their resources together to provide the food used, so you may be asked to bring an item of food to contribute if it hasn't been donated to the class already.
Tina will open her boutique shop of handmade al natural soaps, bath salts and pesonal care products - these are lovely to use and make beautiful thoughtful gifts.
