Join KQED Education for a free four-part professional development series designed to support middle and high school STEM educators. Learn to integrate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education in the classroom while earning up to $250 in educator stipends. Sign up for one workshop or attend all four! Use free multimedia resources from KQED to engage diverse learners, promote science careers, and connect science concepts to the real world. Learn how to effectively integrate video, audio, blogs and online maps into middle- and high-school classes to help teach common core and science standards. ($50 stipend per teacher)

PBS LearningMedia is the next-generation digital media service for PreK-college educators. Bringing together the best of public media to enable teachers to be more effective, PBS LearningMedia provides educators with dynamic and engaging digital resources. In this workshop participants will learn the ropes around this robust library of research-based core curriculum digital resources from public media programs, producers and partners. Participants will then create and customize class pages for student use while learning creative ways to teach the Common Core with public media. ($50 stipend per teacher)

Discover how to create media-rich, interactive, science-based maps using free tools from Google. Enhance student learning by incorporating this fun, place-based technology into your curriculum. ($50 stipend per teacher)

Discover how easy it is to implement engaging, relevant media-making projects in your science classroom using free resources. Learn by doing! We’ll be creating STEM-based narrated slideshows with iMovie and Movie Maker. Participants will also complete an online training module prior to the workshop. ($100 stipend per teacher)
