Koru Mindfulness: Half-Day Meditation Retreat

This half-day silent meditation retreat, developed by the Center for Koru Mindfulness, is open to beginners and seasoned meditators alike. The retreat will give you a chance to step away from your work and rest in stillness among your peers. You'll have the chance to explore a number of different mindfulness and meditation techniques to help you manage stress, improve sleep and increase overall well-being. Led by Koru Mindfulness teachers Tracy George from Student Wellness at Yale Health and Jennifer Mendelsohn from the McDougal Center for Graduate Student Life.
Retreat Schedule (attendance at entire retreat is required to register)
1:00 pm Introductions, housekeeping and definitions
1:20 pm Seated meditation
1:40 pm Walking meditation
2:00 pm Dynamic breathing followed by Gatha
2:20 pm Eating meditation
2:50pm Seated meditation
3:10pm pm End silence, personal reflections on experience, evaluations
