Event description

Description

Whether you just noticed kombucha bottles at your local grocery store, or you've been on the kombucha bandwagon for years now, how much do you really know about this ancient, fermented drink? Step inside a hidden urban farm in Manhattan to learn the magic behind this health-packed elixir, and how to brew your own delicious version of this "boozy tea" from the comfort of your own home.

Join New York Adventure Club as we learn, and taste our way through, the art of brewing kombucha, a fermented and slightly alcoholic tea drink that is believed to have originated in China over 2000 years ago.

Led by Chamberlin Newsome, a long-time kombucha enthusiast and home-brewing expert, our unique experience at Farm. One, a state-of-the-art indoor hydroponic farm in TriBeCa, will include:

  • The 101 on kombucha, from how it's made to the numerous health benefits of drinking it
  • A step-by-step demonstration on how to bottle, brew, and flavor kombucha, with many tastings along the way
  • The chance to flavor and take home your own Kombucha, with your choice of rare plants from the farm
  • A full walkthrough of Farm. One to see how rare culinary plants grow from seed to harvest, with nibbles along the way of different rare herbs, microgreens, and edible flowers

After munching on, and drinking up, plenty of healthy goodies, we'll have a glass of prosecco to cleanse the palate before sending you home with your custom-made kombucha!

Want to go a step further? We'll be selling kombucha starter kits with step-by-step instructions so you can make this delicious drink at home — say goodbye to the days of spending $8 on each kombucha bottle! :)
