Take your regular house plant to the next level and transform it into a whimsical work of art with the popular Japanese practice of Kokedama!
You may be thinking "Koka-wtf?"-- or perhaps you're privy to the ever more popular trend, and wonder "Ko-Can I do that?"
Kokedama (苔玉, meaning "Moss Ball") is the art of containing the root system of a plant inside a ball of soil and moss. These plants can be hung to create a suspended 'string garden' or simply placed in a decorative dish on a shelf. The effect is impressive, and the process is easier than you might imagine. With detailed instruction and all your tools provided, you will learn to mold your own botanic spheres, and you'll leave with your own handmade Kokedama and a skill that you'll be able to easily replicate at home.
This class is perfect for any green-thumbed friends- but no experience is necessary! Just come ready to get your hands dirty (soap and water will be provided upon completion).
